Pahali was on holiday in Turkey’s south, visiting his sister in the badly affected Hatay province when the first 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the country on Monday.
Sydney man Can Pahali was on holiday in Turkey’s south when the first 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the country on Monday.A friend paid tribute to Pahali, who was also known as “John”, in a social media group. “He has had a wonderful six months reuniting with his large family in different areas of his country.In a previous post, the friend said Pahali would be remembered for “making wonderful feasts and food for Have A Chat Cafe”.
“We were last in contact with him ... four hours before the earthquake actually happened,” Katherine told Sunrise.
