Mosman council is set to hold a meeting on Tuesday night to discuss a "confidential" Aboriginal Land Claim for the area.
council is set to secretively debate an Aboriginal Land Claim request for an iconic block of land believed to be worth $100 million.
"The manager governance recommends that the meeting be closed to the press and public for that part necessary to consider information concerning the nature and location of a place or an item of Aboriginal significance on community land," the agenda said.2GB's Chris O'Keefe exclusively revealed the confidential land request pertains to Balmoral Beach.
"It's a block of grass and bushland between Botanic Road and Plunkett Road where the Balmoral Tramway cutting is," O'Keefe said. It is unclear what the Aboriginal Land Claim would mean for the block of land and whether it would developed or owned as a part of First Nations history.2GB contacted the Aboriginal Land Council, who is yet to respond.
