Sydney commuters have been reminded of a major transport shakeup coming into effect on Monday, September 30.

The stations affected by the disruption include, Sydenham, Marrickville, Dulwich Hill, Hurlstone Park, Canterbury, Campsie, Belmore, Lakemba, Wiley Park, Punchbowl, and Bankstown. “There’s no sugar-coating it – this closure will be an incredibly tough time for these communities, and we’ve been upfront that it could take longer than a year. The last train service to run along the T3 line will depart from Central at 12:15am before it will be replaced by the South West Link buses.
Despite the ending of the upgrade projected for late 2025, Ms Haylen said it was an “estimate only” and “could take longer”.
