Dozens of flights have been cancelled at SydneyAirport, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded ahead of the school holidays. 7NEWS
reporter Liam Tapper that Sydney Airport has closed two of its three runways, which means only one runway will be operating.It’s believed more flights will be cancelled throughout the day.Major changes coming for Australians on Centrelink payments“This is said to be one of the biggest school holiday periods for Sydney airports since 2019 — two and a half million people will come through the doors, one and a half million people through the domestic terminal,” Tapper reports.
Travellers are being urged to arrive at Sydney Airport with plenty of time, and to check flight updates to see if their flight has been impacted.
