After Broberg opened the scoring, Zary countered with a power-play goal as the two teams went into the first intermission tied 1-1. Newhook gave Canada its only lead of the game with a goal 1:27 into the second period, but Holtz scored to make it 2-2 heading into the third. Holtz scored on a power play mid-way through the third to give Sweden the lead. Zary tied the score again before Grewe clinched the win for Sweden.Canada hasn't won it all since 2013.
