Durham police are investigating after a break-in at an Ajax bank that saw one suspect crash into a nearby home.
Officers were called to the Scotiabank at 15 Westney Road near Highway 2 around 11:20 p.m. Sunday for reports of a break-and-enter in progress.The suspect tried to drive off, but collided with a nearby home in the Westney Road and Finley Avenue area.Another man was arrested near the bank. Police say no one inside the home was hurt, but it was evacuated as a precaution. An engineer will need to evaluate it to determine its structural integrity.
