A 23-year-old Metro Vancouver man has now been charged with the arson attack that shut down Langara College for two days.

Vancouver Police announced Nasradin Abdusamad Ali is facing two charges: one count of arson in relation to inhabited property, and one count of possession of incendiary material.Fires had been set on two floors of the T Building, which houses Langara’s science department.Related VPD Const. Jason Doucette said investigators “quickly identified Mr. Ali as the suspect and shared information with other police agencies. He was arrested just after 4 p.m.
