Summerside police will be reviewing the conduct of the Charlottetown police officers who responded to multiple calls to Tyler Knockwood's home on Mount Edward Road on Jan. 16, 2023, hours before he was found dead at Province House. - Cody McEachernEditor's note: The following story contains mental health content that may act as a trigger for some readers.

However, despite their pleas and warnings that Tyler would take his own life, she said police instead dropped him off downtown.In a Feb. 17 emailed statement to SaltWire Network, Summerside police Deputy Chief Jason Blacquiere confirmed the department would be conducting a review on the contacts and actions of the officers who handled the case prior to Tyler’s death, at the request of Charlottetown Police.

“Having an outside agency conduct the review casts a fresh set of eyes on whatever actions were taken during the course of an investigation,” he said.
