Everything you need to know about the band’s concert on Wednesday, June 19th
There was a time when no skater punk in the early 2000s would be seen without a Sum 41 CD in their collection. Their 2001 album All Killer, No Filler was that generation’s Nevermind, and for whom Nirvana were already long in the past. The Canadian band is coming to Dublin for their Tour of the Setting Sum and it’s expected to be the last hurrah for the alternative punk rockers before a planned disbandment after the tour.
There will be signs on approach to the concert, which will take place at the Annesley Bridge end of Fairview Park.At a recent show in Virginia, USA, the band played a lengthy gig with a whopper two encores, Here’s what you can expect from the Dublin show:Under 16′s must be always accompanied by someone over 25. Unaccompanied under-16s will be refused entry without a refund.
No umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, glasses or cans, among other items, will be allowed into the event. There are no readmissions to the concert, so once you leave there’s no getting back in.Yes, but only with a smartphone or small digital camera. Professional cameras with a detachable lens and any other recording equipment are banned.According to Met Éireann, dry conditions are expected.
