K9 Roy is expected to make a full recovery being administered Narcan and rushed to vet
A police dog in Sudbury is expected to make a full recovery after accidentally ingesting fentanyl during a major drug bust.
“Thanks to the quick actions of his handler, Roy is expected to make a full recovery,” says a news release issued Friday by the police service. “This is a stark reminder of the dangers our officers and canines face while protecting our community.” A police news release issued at the time said the service was “pawsitively thrilled” to welcome “this very good boy” to the force.
