Two people facing numerous drug and weapons charges

Two men are facing numerous drug and weapons charges following a Sept. 5 drug raid at a residence in Sturgeon Falls.

On that day last week, members of the OPP’s Community Street Crime and Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed a Controlled Drug Substance Act search warrant at a residence on John Street in Sturgeon Falls. In a news release, the OPP said the search warrant turned up drug paraphernalia, Canadian currency, digital scales, prohibited weapons, air guns and drugs suspected to be fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. Two people were arrested as a result of the raid:The accused was held for bail court, with a court appearance scheduled for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay.The accused was held for bail court and then released on a release order.
