Four Gold Coast high school students claim they have been left traumatised after being attacked by a make-shift weapon at the hands of a fellow student. 9News

The Year Eight students, three girls and one boy, from Helensvale State High School claim they were cut with a razor pulled from a pencil sharpener during a PE class on Tuesday.

The mothers of two of the girls are furious at how Helensvale Sate High School has handled the matter. "It's not just a school yard fight ... This is grievous bodily harm…," one of the mothers told 9News.The mothers and their children have asked to not to be identified. Their main concern is how the school dealt with the matter. They say they weren't told about it for several hours and police and paramedics were not called.
