Structure protection crew to protect North Shuswap properties on evacuation alert
A regional Structural Protection Unit team has set up among residences under evacuation alert due to the growing Lower East Adams wildfire.
The CSRD issued its evacuation alert on July 20 for 92 properties located in Electoral Area F . Alerts were also issued by the Thompson Nicola Regional District and the Adams Lake Band for other properties in the vicinity. BC Wildfire Service said the terrain is a safety concern for ground crews so the fire was being fought by air. An updated assessment of the blaze was expected Monday afternoon.
