KUALA LUMPUR – A strong current is hampering efforts to rescue a 48-year-old woman who fell into a sinkhole 8m deep.

“I was informed that there is a strong water flow reaching the end over there , and we’ve covered until the end, but we haven’t found anything,” said Comm Rusdi. “We also have to look at the gas pipe , so we cannot just enter. We are praying by night we can find the victim, hopefully alive,” he said.They had been in Malaysia for nearly two months, and had planned on flying back to India on Aug 24.Comm Rusdi said rescue efforts initially focused on the location where the woman fell.
