Met Eireann has named its second storm of the 2024/25 season - Storm Bert - and its arrival on Friday night will bring heavy rain and strong winds to most areas of the country
As the big freeze thaws and temperatures begin to rise again, there will be little respite from severe weather as a storm is set to wreak havoc in many parts of Ireland tonight.
