SEREMBAN: The statement by Amanah communications director Khalid Samad appealing to the King and the Pardons Board to reject the pardon application for Datuk Seri Najib Razak is totally uncalled for, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
The Umno deputy president said allies in the unity government should not make statements which can jeopardise ties between them.
"There are bound to be loose cannons in every party. So we do not take such statements into consideration. "If we want to preserve harmony and good ties, please do not make statements that can have a negative impact on others," he said when met at his Hari Raya open house in Rantau.Mohamad said he had reminded Barisan Nasional members to refrain from doing so and focus on strengthening the party."We should not poke our noses into the affairs of others. It is pointless being nosey.
He said it will also damage the image of the Malaysia Madani policy brought by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.Article type: free
