Kuala Lumpur: Sabahan lawmakers cannot keep blaming Putrajaya for Sabah’s antiquated roads, water and electricity infrastructure, says Warisan MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis.
Isnaraissah said they should emulate Sarawak’s administration, which has outstripped Sabah in many ways.She said this included supervising the Pan Borneo Highway stretch in the State, which is expected to be fully completed by the end of this year. “We say we want to be like Sarawak but we do not think like the Sarawakians or act like they do.” Isnaraissah urged her colleagues from Sabah to focus on their struggle and not to be taken in by greed. However, Isnaraissah brought up Putrajaya’s failure to fulfil its side of matters such as oil royalties, petroleum payments, the Territorial Sea Act 2012 and the State’s Continental Shelf rights.
