Stolen Silver Inn Restaurant sign found, returned yyc

The sign was stolen just a day after the restaurant closed after nearly five decades of business in Calgary. The restaurant’s owners said the sign was taken on Monday afternoon, sometime between 12 and 3 p.m. “While today was supposed to be a celebratory day with our first official day of retirement, we are heartbroken to see that someone has STOLEN our Silver Inn Restaurant sign,” wrote the restaurant’s owners in an earlier Facebook post. “This sign has been with our family since the restaurant opened in this location in 1975.”
