Steps for Life raises funds and awareness for workplace safety

THUNDER BAY – The 2023 Steps for Life walk Thunder Bay was held on Saturday and nearly doubled its fundraising goal to support families impacted by workplace tragedies.

“This walk starts off today and exists through the whole month of May as their major fundraiser, raising awareness for Threads of Life and what they do to support families,” said Mika, co-chair of the local planning committee. Previous walks needed to be scaled back due to the ongoing pandemic, but this year’s walk allowed the event to host roughly 60 walkers.
