Although it is forecast to stay dry until Tuesday, the SES is urging residents in affected areas to stay vigilant as water travels downstream and causes flooding

The town of Forbes in NSW’s Central West remains under threat from rising floodwaters as the Lachlan River breaches its banks, despite clear blue skies across the state on Saturday.

“Aviation assets are currently being utilised as re-supply to isolated properties for welfare checks and deliveries onto properties unable to access Forbes CBD.”Emergency warnings remain in place for Forbes and Wagga Wagga, in the Riverina region.. “Despite clear skies, there is still water moving downstream and it is more important than ever to remind the community that if it’s flooded, forget it.”
