On Oct. 1, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers responded to reports of assaults at Paradise and Mount Pearl homes that are believed to have happened between Sept. 26 and Oct. 1.Following an investigation, on Oct. 2, at around 6:40 p.m., police arrested Michael Pippy, 44, of St. John’s. Pippy was charged with assault causing bodily harm, choking, two counts of assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, theft and failure to comply with a court order.Police ask anyone with information to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000 or tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
