Residents in St. Catharines, Ont. have been asked to shelter in place after police received reports of an armed male in the area.

According to Niagara Regional Police Service , a male went into an Enterprise Truck Rental in the area of Lake and Scott streets at approximately 8:30 a.m.The area of Lake and Scott streets, north of Queen Elizabeth Way, is currently closed for police investigation. Residents are being asked to lock their doors and shelter in place.
