MANILA, Philippines — New Bilibid Prison has been placed under red alert status, temporarily suspending prisoners’ visitation privilege.

This situation prevails after one died and nine others were injured in a fight between two members of groups Bahala Na Gang and Batang City Jail Tuesday evening.Acting Superintendent Jail Senior Inspector Angelina Bautista said the prisoners had resolved their conflicts when one of the convicts made trouble.
