Sudbury welcomes its newest osteopathic clinic
Residents of Sudbury, in Northern Ontario, can now avail themselves of the services of the region's newest osteopathic clinic, which opened in early January.
What is Osteopathy? Osteopathy is a form of hands-on healthcare that seeks to enhance bodily function and encourage self-healing. Practitioners employ manual techniques to evaluate and treat patients, centring on the musculoskeletal system while also considering the interconnected systems and their effect on overall health.
Rather than focusing solely on specific parts or systems of the body, practitioners regard the body as a whole interconnected system. They also consider other factors, such as the patient's environment, lifestyle and emotional state, as these can all impact bodily function and overall health. Osteopathy is a complementary healthcare practice. It can be used in conjunction with other forms of healthcare, such as medication or physiotherapy, to help enhance overall health and well-being."Every three to four treatments, we rotate practitioners. Patients get the benefits of our individual expertise and collective experience which is helpful for patient care and building a community of people prioritizing their health," Knor said.
