Meeting to be held at Minnow Lake Place
SportLink, Greater Sudbury’s sports council, hosts its annual general meeting May 29 at Minnow Lake Place .SportLink has been actively involved in several Sudbury Sport Tourism ventures recently, including the Nickel City Curling Championships.
Finally, the SportLink mandate of providing support in the areas of promotion and marketing, accessing government funding, volunteer attraction and promotion, and various other endeavours, is sure to rank the next few years as among the most active in the history of the council. “With that in mind, we are hoping to attract another four to five new board members to join SportLink in moving forward our mandate, and sport, in general, locally,” the group said in a news release. “Meetings are held on a monthly basis, with a relatively limited demand on the time of the volunteers between meetings.
