LUCBAN, Quezon – Police arrested a 17-year-old Special Education student for allegedly slashing the neck of a nine-year-old SPED pupil here on Saturday, August 26.
Police Major Marnie Abellanida, Lucban police chief, said the suspect was arrested hours after the incident and turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for proper disposition. Investigation said the victim was inside the comfort room of the Lucban public market in Barangay 4 at about 3:30 p.m. when the suspect approached and slashed him in the neck with a knife.
The victim was initially taken by his mother to a hospital here but he was later transferred to the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City due to his condition.
