South Korean investigators have applied for an arrest warrant for suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol after he failed to appear for questioning regarding his short-lived declaration of martial law.

The application by investigators marks the first attempt in the country’s history to forcibly detain a president before the impeachment procedure is complete.
