South Australian Premier Steven Marshall says the state has recorded 1,740 new local COVID-19 cases and five additional deaths in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
“That’s the lowest we’ve had for the entire year; it takes our seven-day average now down below 2,000 per day,” Mr Marshall said.
He said of the new cases, 1,329 came from PCR tests and 411 from positive rapid antigen tests.“Unfortunately, we still have some deaths to report…one person in their 50’s, one in their 60’s, two in their 70’s, and one in their 80’s.”
