Something for the weekend: Five things you need to check out (26 – 28 April)

This year's festival will host céilís with the Star of Munster and Four Courts bands, while the famous Kilfenora Céilí Band and Kilfenora youth bands will be playing open-air gigs on the Sunday.

And then, of course, there are the legendary pub sessions led by great musicians from Clare and further afield.There is something therapeutic about walking; it always offers a chance to blow off the cobwebs and get some fresh air. Why not do it in stunning surroundings? The, running from Friday to Sunday, offers surroundings as if not more stunning than you'll find anywhere in Ireland.

It's one of the biggest food festivals in the country.
Check out the weekly Country Market on Friday, the festival’s quayside market on Saturday with a seafood theme, all culminating in their famed Festival Market on Sunday, when over 100 stalls fill the town centre to bring you the best of local and Irish artisan food. There are loads of events taking place over the weekend, which you can check out via their website rightWhen suggesting something for the weekend, it's not all about scenic walks, trad sessions and artisan food.
