Snow day: School buses cancelled, plow rolls, OPP reports numerous crashes

The Ottawa Police Service said at about 9:30 a.m. that officers had dealt with 11 collisions since midnight.Article content Crews quickly extricated the driver from the cab of the plow by removing the windshield and handed care over to paramedics. The Ottawa Paramedic Service said that the patient had minor injuries and did not need to go to the hospital.
“Snow level as deep to up to officer’s knees in some places,” East Region OPP said, adding a warning.With snow forecast to continue until Thursday afternoon, OC Transpo said that it expects “it will be slow-going today city-wide with service delays anticipated.”
