There’s rarely a dull moment surrounding the sale of the Ottawa Senators.
“I know how big it’s in Canada and I’ve been down with the NHL for a long time. I’ve been going to games, announcing games and being a part of their society. So when this opportunity came for me to be a part of the ownership of the Ottawa Senators, I jumped on it.”“The plan we have is to build a Snoop youth hockey league outside of Canada so kids in urban communities can learn the sport and find a way to get into this great thing called hockey,” he said.
It’s not known how much Snoop Dogg is contributing to the bid, but sources say Sparks has told possible investors “he’s in the process of completing ownership partnerships with corporate partners, private equity partners, celebrity minority owners, and equity partners.”Article content “We’re watching the great work that’s being done in these communities that were gang-riddled, had single parents, that were sort of poverty-stricken. Though football, and through sports, we’ve found a way more family-oriented and organized in the way to do things.
It’s not know what kind of chance the Sparks’ Group has to win the bidding war isn’t known, but we’ll likely find out sometime in early June.
