There have been some frustrating nights this season for the Flames, but arguably none as difficult to digest as Monday’s 4\u002D3 overtime loss.
The Flames were leading by a pair with two minutes and change remaining in regulation, but the Senators struck twice in a 46-second span to knot the score and Tim Stutzle capped a four-point performance with a blocker-side squeaker in sudden-death. Stutzle’s winner is yet another goal that Jacob Markstrom shouldn’t surrender.
Darryl Sutter wasn’t about to rip his squad after this shocker, telling reporters in Ottawa: “I thought we totally dominated.”And then what happened?
