The Senators went into Tuesday night’s action five points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins for the final wildcard spot in the East. The task of getting to the post-season is made more difficult by the fact there are four teams between the Senators and Penguins.
The market for Chychrun is starting to thin out. The Edmonton Oilers couldn’t close a deal with the Coyotes so they made a deal for Nashville’sfrom Toronto on Tuesday afternoon. That leaves the Los Angeles Kings, Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes and Penguins as the teams that remain interested in Chychrun.
