THE SN Aboitiz Power Magat was declared the national winner in the private organization category of the 24th National Gawad Kalasag or KAlamidad at Sakuna LAbanan SAriling Galing ang Kaligtasan during the awarding ceremony, held on December 13, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
President Marcos, along with Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, presented the award to the SNAP-Magat, the highest honor for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Humanitarian Assistance for the third year in a row.SNAP-Magat, a renewable energy provider, has been inducted into the Gawad Kalasag Hall of Fame in the Best Private Organization category.
Joseph Yu, president and chief executive officer of SNAP-Magat, said the company’s steadfast dedication to safety is demonstrated by these health and safety accolades. “Safety is one of the company’s core values, and these milestones reflect the effectiveness of our disaster preparedness, safety protocols, and the dedication of each team member to adhere to these standards.”
