The SM Foundation, the social responsibility arm of the SM Group, has announced the opening of its college scholarship program for applications from February 1st to March 31st, 2025. This program is designed to provide comprehensive educational support to deserving senior high school graduates across the Philippines. The scholarship package offers full tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, and paid internship opportunities within the SM Group during semester breaks.
This initiative builds upon the legacy of SM Group founder Henry Sy Sr., who deeply believed in the transformative power of education. Since its inception in 1993, the SM College Scholarship program has empowered over 4,000 graduates. It prioritizes key academic disciplines such as computer science, engineering, business, accounting, and education, in partnership with leading colleges and universities throughout the Philippines.For Academic Year 2025-2026, the foundation welcomes applications from public school graduates and eligible private school students who are Department of Education voucher beneficiaries with Grade 10 completion from public schools. Grade 12 students must maintain a general weighted average grade of at least 92 percent or its equivalent in the first semester. Furthermore, the annual total household income of the applicant should not exceed P250,000. The program goes beyond financial assistance, incorporating personal development workshops, enrichment activities, and academic support to help scholars thrive. They participate in valuable experiences designed to enhance their workplace readiness and equip them for future success.
