Authorities fear the death toll from a hostel fire will rise further after six people were found dead, with more than two dozen unaccounted for in the massive blaze.
Emergency services were called to the Loafers Lodge hostel on Adelaide Rd in Wellington just before 12:30am where a large fire broke out on the top floor.
