Bur Girard scored into an empty net with 78 seconds left in the game — her second of the game, set up again by Marchment. The two combined for 63 points in the regular season, with Marchment second only to Boston’s Loren Gabel and Girard tied for third with Boston’s Jillian Dempsey.
