He told reporters this after attending the Social Security Organisation Lunch and Appreciation Day today. “Local workers are covered by the Employment Injury Scheme and Invalidity Scheme, with the employer’s contribution rate of 1.75 per cent while the employee pays 0.5 per cent. “Based on records, only 39.67 per cent of the 95,000 foreign domestic workers in this country are covered by the Perkeso scheme, whereas all domestic workers, including foreign workers, are required to register with and contribute to Perkeso since June 1, 2022.
