Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after the death of a 35-year-old man in Barrie, Ont., on Saturday.
According to a press release from the Special Investigations Unit , at around 12:10 p.m. Barrie police were contacted after a woman fled from a vehicle. About two hours later police made visual and verbal contact with a man.
Officers then briefly spoke with the man and shortly after the man suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
