The Special Investigations Unit has discontinued its investigation into an injury sustained by a 29-year-old woman during a struggle with OPP officers after her arrest last month, finding the injuries were not serious.
KENORA — Ontario’s police watchdog has discontinued an investigation into an injury suffered by a Kenora woman during a struggle with Ontario Provincial Police officers.
The injury occurred after OPP officers arrested a 29-year-old woman following an incident at a Kenora business in the late afternoon of April 15. The woman was diagnosed with soft tissue swelling in that ankle after being subsequently transported to hospital.
