SingPost says it is confident of its legal position and will address the situation at the appropriate time and forum if necessary. Former executives claim their termination was unjustified and procedurally unfair.

Singapore Post (SingPost) stated its confidence in its legal standing on Tuesday (Dec 24) following the dismissal of two former senior executives, Vincent Phang and Vincent Yik, who claimed their termination was unjustified. Phang and Yik, along with former chief executive of the international business unit Li Yu, were let go by the company on Saturday. They asserted that the board's decision to terminate them was unfounded and procedurally unfair, considering their years of dedicated service.

In response to queries from CNA, a SingPost spokesperson reiterated that the company would address the situation at the appropriate time and platform, but declined further comment due to potential litigation. S&P Global Ratings expressed concerns regarding the future of the company, citing the frequent management turnover and the increased credit risks associated with the recent executive departures. SingPost revealed that the initial whistleblowing report, alleging manual entries of delivery status codes by its international business unit, was received in January this year, leading to subsequent investigations
