Peter Dutton has lashed the Labor Government and declared it was “obviously walking away” from one of its key election pledges.
The government has continuously backed its predecessor’s tax agenda which is set to come into effect in mid-2024 and will see cuts of $9,075 to those earning more than $200,000.

Offer ends 31 October, 2022 “They will have all the hype around cutting programs but they are obviously walking away from the stage three tax cuts,” Mr Dutton told Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny on Tuesday.
Shadow treasurer Angus Taylor on Tuesday said the government needed to focus on short term measures to alleviate cost of living pressures, while ensuring future economic growth was not impeded. “That activity that is generated by those tax cuts for those households being able to go out and spend again in the economy is going to be incredibly important at that point of the cycle,” he said.
