The festival – which runs from May 17 to June 2 – features five commissions, seven international presentations and 10 home-grown theatre groups showcasing works-in-process over two weekends as part of the programme Tomorrow And Tomorrow. “Our eyes were open, but we couldn’t see anything,” recalls the musician, who says in a Zoom interview with The Straits Times that he is at a loss for words to describe his encounter with this sensory deprivation. “Once that happened, I could hear minute details of small sounds.”Cultural Medallion recipient Haresh Sharma and Young Artist Award recipient Chong Tze Chien are collaborating on festival commission The Prose And The Passion.
