Police deem building at UVic safe after it was evacuated due to reported threat
Saanich Police say a shooting threat written on a bathroom wall at the University of Victoria, which prompted the heavy police presence at the school Friday morning.“While the message is similar to one found at a local high school a few days ago, we are unable to confirm at this time if the suspect is the same,” Saanich Police said in a tweet.
At UVic, a university spokesperson says the message that was found in the bathroom was similar to the one at Oak Bay High. Nick Csillag says he went into the building at 10:20 for a class and was waiting in his classroom when his professor knocked on the window.
