EXCLUSIVE Shocking footage has captured the moment an UberEats driver was allegedly carjacked, assaulted and dragged along a Melbourne road while trying to deliver food. The footage, obtained exclusively by 7 NEWS , shows the food delivery driver in a white sedan pulling over on Romsey Pl in Langwarrin at 1.45pm on Thursday. The 33-year-old briefly gets out, but then gets back in to move his car to allow a grey ute to pass by on the narrow street.
A second person then jumps out of the ute and appears to allegedly punch the driver in the head, knocking him down. The delivery driver recovers and continues to try to stop the alleged thieves, leaning into the window of the ute driver’s seat while the alleged carjacker accelerates, briefly dragging him along the road and leaving him with serious injuries. The white sedan was later dumped in Paddington Rd in Oakleigh, and soon afterwards the group allegedly broke into a home on Carlisle Cres.
