PETALING JAYA: Malaysia will ride on Goh Jin Wei’s fighting spirit to take on Taiwan in their Group C tie in the Sudirman Cup today.

On Monday, Jin Wei had upstaged former world champion P.V. Sindhu to seal the winning point and a ticket to play in the quarter-finals of the mixed team competition in Suzhou, China. Malaysia eventually defeated India 5-0 to get a huge morale boost ahead of the Taiwan tie.

“We have played both Taiwan’s mixed pairs. They are good in terms of strength and ability,” she said.“In fact, every match will be tight and the team will support one another to give their best.”
