Accidentally forgetting something at home while you’ve arrived at your car can be a nuisance for people who live in apartments and condominiums as it means that they would have to wait for the elevator, go all the way up to their unit, retrieve the forgotten item and head back down to the parking lot.

Based on a report by Zao Bao, a 30-year-old Singaporean man had lit his Mercedes Benz on fire at a condominium parking lot after forgetting to bring along the car key. But, why did he have to light the car on fire? At first, the fire merely melted the plastic around the ignition and the dashboard, but the fire quickly spread to the driver’s seat area, causing heavy smoke.
