Exco Melaka, Rais Yasin berkata, PPR ialah kemudahan diberikan kerajaan dan penyewa yang tidak mahu mendudukinya boleh pulangkan kerana ramai lagi memerlukan rumah itu.

Katanya, tindakan pemutihan itu dilakukan hasil pemantauan dan operasi Lembaga Perumahan Melaka sejak PPR itu mendapat kelulusan sewa untuk beli pada Ogos 2022. “Jadi, kita lakukan tindakan pemutihan ini di samping mengenal pasti untuk memberikannya kepada pemohon lebih layak mendapat rumah tersebut,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas melawat PPR Krubong.
