Beginning this afternoon and into this evening, Environment Canada is calling for heavy downpours and winds up to 90 km/hour
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Greater Sudbury and area. A heavy downpour is expected, as are winds up to 90 kilometres per hour.
Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles, warns Environment Canada and states heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
