Read the reviews of the present tour by the pop star P!nk and you can’t help but get excited about the singer’s two night-stand in town. On her 2013 tour, she put on one of the most imaginative and exceptionally staged arena performances of any musician at any time. Now Variety reports “In the history of traveling pop music outings, there’s probably never been a better first 10 seconds of any tour than the opening of P!nk’s current show.

St. Louis rapper Smino is known for his quite melodic and very rhythmic delivery. On his breakthrough 2017 debut blkswn, he spins stories of his home town while some seriously tasty, drum-heavy tracks bounce around behind. The follow-up, NØIR, upped the ante with guest spots from Ravyn Lenae, Valee and others grooving to some of the sound he’s described as “futuristic funk.” One of the freshest voices in hip hop today.

The new feature exhibition at the MOV originated at the Legacy Art Gallery in Victoria, where UVic Associate Professor of Anthropology Andrea Walsh curated the collection of rare surviving artworks done by children who were students at the Inkameep Day School , St Michael’s Indian Residential School , the Alberni Indian Residential School and Mackay Indian Residential School .

He’s a legend in indie rock circles and hardcore punk royalty for his innovative work and killer songwriting in bands such as Hüsker Dü and Sugar, as well as his long solo career. This time around, Mould is plugged in with a tight young backing band and showcasing songs from his latest Merge Records recording, Sunshine Rock. That title sounds pretty cheerful coming from an artist known for soul-baring intensity.
